Standard terms and terminology
Bus Depot: Buses are attached to Bus Depots.
Depots maintain and operate the buses - Bus Station: A Bus station is attached to a Bus Depot. Each Bus Depot can have many Bus Stations attached to it.
Buses operate between Bus stations - Service: A service is any bus operating between two places at a particular time on a Route of a particular Bus Type.
Bus Type: Regular Services operated daily with various levels of comfort, such as, Karnataka Sarige, Rajahamsa, Sleeper Non-AC/AC, Karnataka Vaibhava, Mercides Benz, Corona, Volvo, Volvo Multiaxle, Scania, AmbaariDreamclass etc.
Parcel and Courier Counters: Counters established for accepting and delivering parcels / couriers
Parcel: One piece of Parcel booked for transportation from one place to another.
Courier: One piece of Courier booked for transportation from one place to another.
Transaction: Transaction made for booking of Parcel or Courier from one place to another enabling the Corporation to realize revenue through receipt.
Single Transaction is one complete cycle of Parcel/Courier received from Consignor for single or multiple parcels, transshipment, tracking and delivering to Consignee. Multiple 4 packages/couriers can be included in one transaction for same consignor, for same consignee and for same destination.
Revenue: The amount realised from booking of parcels and couriers including all amounts like Freight charges, loading & unloading charges, Demurrage charges and transhipment charges.
Commission: Commission will be payable on total revenue which includes Freight charges, loading & unloading charges, Demurrage charges and transhipment charges.
